Induction Furnace

Induction furnace is widely used in steelmaking, casting, special steel, electricity and other fields, mainly used for smelting scrap, alloy steel, stainless steel, iron, aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metal, and also can be used for forging heating and heat treatment. According to customer requirements, induction furnace design capacity can be range from 0.25MT to 70MT, and power supply system power range from 160kW to 30,000kW.

The induction furnace features:

1) Adopt series SCR inverter, of stable performance.

2) 48-pulse, 24-pulse or 12-pulse control system design for large-capacity power supply can significantly reduce harmonic interference.

3) The max. power distribution capacity can be higher than 30000kW. (2000kW to 35000kW)

4)All induction furnace system adopts DSP chip full digital control.

5) The power factor is maintained at 0.95 under any operating conditions.

6) Full digital control system with high accuracy and self fault-diagnostic function.

7) Leakage detecting system with warning and switching off function to guarantee the safe running of power supply.

8) Easily and quickly start and stop the system.

9) Special rectifier transformer to match suitable solid state power supply.

10) Safety control of the water circuit and temperature.

Billets Automatic Induction Heating Furnace

Hot charging of billets (continuous casting & continuous rolling) is the important step for energy saving and cost reducing, which has been widely applied in the field of steel making and rolling. With automatic controlled overall process, billet automatic induction heating furnace is characterized with less required total power, small land area, unattended operation, lower power cost. It can greatly reduce self loss by controlling heating length.

General steel making plant mostly adopts natural gas or coal–gas furnace to heat billets. Induction heating furnace can replace nature gas furnace, coal-gas furnace or heavy oil furnace in heating billets.

    

Induction Heating Furnace feature:

1) Temperature raises fast, less scale and low energy consumption. As the principle of induction heating furnace is electromagnetic induction and the heat is generated by the work piece itself, there are many advantages in this heating way, such as quick temperature raising, less scale, high heating efficiency, less energy consumption per unit heating weight.

2) High degree of automation. Automatic charging and discharging can be completed according to user’s technical requirements.

3) Uniform heating and high precision in temperature control.  Due to the continuous adjustable power of the intermediate frequency power supply and the selectivity of the frequency, the internal and surface temperature difference of the heating products can meet the technical requirements under the control of the intermediate frequency power supply.

4) Perfect safety protection function, includes water temperature protection, water pressure protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection and phase loss protection etc.. Moreover, An alarm for upper temperature limit and lower temperature limit is installed. All the protection measures are adopted to ensure safety operation.

5) Sensor can be quickly replaced. According to different product specifications, configure multiple sensors. By adopting quick-change connector on sensor water circuit, sensor can be quickly replaced to improve production efficiency.

6) The induction heating furnace is non-pollution and meet the requirements on environmental protection.

Complete set of induction heating furnace includes:

1. MF induction power supply

3. Furnace body (including circuit, water circuit and gas circuit , etc.)

4. Sensor (multiple sensors can be configured for different specifications; shaped sensor can be designed according to shapes of work pieces)

5. Charging device (pneumatic, electric or hydraulic walk-type pusher can be adopted; chain type and continuous charging and discharging roller can be adopted for long bar)
